Can You Use Clipart for Commercial Use? Simple License Guide for Crafters & Small Shops
💌 Introduction
“Can I really use this clipart for my Etsy shop?” is probably the #1 question crafters ask us. Licenses can sound intimidating and legal, but most of the time you just want a clear answer: am I allowed to sell what I make with these graphics?
This guide walks through the WondersArtist License in calm, simple language. It explains what you can do with our clipart, digital papers, and journal pages, what is not allowed, and how things work for Etsy shops, small businesses, templates, and print-on-demand.
This article is a friendly summary of our official license (Version 1.2, effective 25 September 2025). It is not legal advice. For anything unusual, you can always email us at support@wondersartist.com and we will happily clarify.

With WondersArtist, the rule is very simple:
- You may use our graphics for commercial use – that includes physical products, digital products, templates, and POD.
- You may create and sell unlimited end products, worldwide, forever.
- You may keep using everything you downloaded even if you cancel All Access later.
- The one big rule: do not resell or share our raw graphics as a standalone “graphics pack” or stock files.
If you are selling finished products, templates, or POD designs, you are almost always covered. The rest of this article just gives gentle details and examples so you can feel completely safe.
📦 What “Commercial Use” Means Here
In our world, commercial use means you are using WondersArtist graphics in anything connected to a business, shop, or paid project. For example:
- Selling handmade cards, stickers, bookmarks, or prints.
- Offering printable planners, wall art, or journal kits in your Etsy shop.
- Uploading designs to POD services like Redbubble or Merch.
- Using graphics in a paid course, membership, or client project.
All of this is allowed under the WondersArtist License, as long as you are not simply passing our original PNGs, papers, or fonts to someone else as stock files.
🧺 Physical End Products
A Physical End Product is anything you print or manufacture and then sell or gift in real life. The license here is very generous.
✅ You are allowed to
- Print or transfer our designs as-is or with edits onto mugs, shirts, stickers, cards, journals, packaging, decor, and more.
- Sell unlimited quantities of those physical items, worldwide, forever.
- Give physical items away as gifts, promo goodies, charity items, or bundle bonuses.
🚫 You are not allowed to
- Include a digital copy of our original graphics together with your physical product (for example, a download link to all our PNGs that you used on a mug set).
💻 Digital End Products & Templates
A Digital End Product is anything you sell or deliver digitally to more than one person – printables, wall art, card templates, scrapbook pages, Canva templates, PSD files, planners, and so on.
✅ You are allowed to
- Use WondersArtist elements to create new digital products, including fully editable templates (PSD, AI, Canva, Affinity, etc.).
- Sell those products on Etsy, your own website, teacher marketplaces, and more.
- Deliver flattened files (JPG/PNG/PDF) and/or the editable template itself.
Simple conditions to keep it safe
- Do not include a separate “assets” folder full of our PNGs, clipart, or papers that your buyers can download as standalone graphics.
- If your template naturally exposes layered elements (for example in Canva), add this one-liner to your listing and inside your ZIP file:
“End-User Notice: This template contains elements licensed from WondersArtist. You may edit and use the template for personal/commercial end products. You may not resell/share the graphics as standalone files or create your own ‘graphics packs’ from them.”
🚫 You are not allowed to
- Sell packs that are basically our source files, such as “500 PNG gnomes” that are just our clipart re-zipped.
- Market our graphics as stand-alone stock art for general reuse by other designers.
🖨 Print on Demand (POD)
POD services (like Redbubble, Merch, Zazzle, Teespring, etc.) let you upload a design once and they print when someone orders. The WondersArtist License is POD-friendly.
✅ You are allowed to
- Upload designs using our graphics as-is or with your own edits.
- Use our fonts to create quotes and word art and upload those as designs.
- Generate unlimited POD sales, worldwide.
🚫 You are not allowed to
- Upload our raw font files or source graphics as stock assets for others to download.
- Create “graphics packs” on POD or marketplaces that are essentially just our clipart or papers.
✂️ Embroidery & Cutting Machines
If you love turning graphics into stitched or cut designs, you are welcome here too.
✅ You are allowed to
- Convert WondersArtist designs for machine stitching or cutting (embroidery files, cutting files, etc.).
- Use those converted designs to make unlimited physical items that you sell or gift.
🚫 You are not allowed to
- Sell or share the digital embroidery or cutting files themselves that were created from our art.
🤝 Teams, Clients & Collaborations
You can safely use WondersArtist assets in client work and inside your own small team.
✅ You are allowed to
- Use our graphics in client projects (branding pieces, printables, etc.) and deliver the finished outcome: physical items, flattened files, or editable templates.
- Use the files across a light internal team inside your own business.
🚫 Please don’t
- Pass original source files directly to clients as their own stock library. If they want raw clipart or papers, they should license from WondersArtist directly.
- Set up multi-seat or vendor redistribution without talking to us. For larger setups, email support@wondersartist.com.
🧠 AI, Characters & Third-Party Rights
Our collections are created and curated by WondersArtist using professional prompting, composition, editing, and upscaling workflows. Tools may include platforms like Midjourney, DALL·E, Microsoft Designer, and others.
- Your license is non-exclusive – other customers may use the same graphics for their own projects.
- You are responsible for avoiding infringement of brands, copyrighted characters, and real-person likeness. Please do not use our art in ways that would suggest endorsement by a real person or brand.
If you are unsure whether a planned design might cross a line with a character, brand, or celebrity look-alike, send us a note and we can review it together.
🚫 What You Cannot Do with Our Art
To keep things crystal clear, here is the short list of things the WondersArtist License does not allow:
- Reselling, sharing, or giving away our source files (PNGs, digital papers, fonts, etc.) as standalone downloads.
- Including a separate “assets” or “graphics” folder in your product that contains our clipart as individual files for customers to save.
- Embedding our graphics as a stock library inside an app or design tool where other people can use them without buying a license.
- Marketing our art as a generic graphics pack or stock collection for other creators to build with.
- Using our designs in ways that violate laws or platform rules.
If you ever think, “I am not sure this is clearly allowed,” that is the moment to email support@wondersartist.com so we can say yes or help you adjust the idea.
❓ Quick License FAQs
Do I still have a license if I cancel All Access?
Yes. For every item you purchased and every item you downloaded during your active All Access membership, your license is perpetual. You may keep using those graphics in new projects even after cancellation.
Can I transfer my license to someone else?
No. The license is non-transferable. If a client or collaborator needs direct access to the source files, they should create their own WondersArtist account and license the items they need.
Is this page legal advice?
